The Ruler

If you haven't heard of Trigg The Ruler yet then.. well.. what're you even doing? The 24 year old songwriter has slowly but surely become one of Syracuse's gems. Not only is Trigg one of the most known songwriters in the Cuse, but he's also one of the best videographers in the game right now working with a wide range of artists including YT, Red Dot Glory, L Black, and.. himself.

"I made my first song in 2007, I was 12" - Trigg

His single "How Do I Look" has done well and generated quite a buzz in recent weeks despite being released nearly a year ago. With the official music video dropping just a week ago, it seems The Ruler is getting back in his bag and even received a cosign from DJ Enuff on HOT97. Earlier this week Trigg even tried his hand at R&B releasing another single titled "The Real You" by surprise.

"I dropped The Real You without telling anybody but the people who found it gave me good feedback so I decided to start posting it" - Trigg

Despite Syracuse being home to some of the best musical talents available, it has grown increasingly hard for it's artists to grow with what almost seems like a Hip Hop protest with most venues banning Hip-Hop and R&B acts. While the come up experience is different for every artist with plenty of ups and downs, Trigg typically seems at peace with his place in the game. Not only has Trigg made huge connections outside of NY, but he's built a large list of clientele within the city with his unique photography and editing skills.

"It's mostly fun for me, I was always placed in social environments meeting kids in different neighborhoods so when I got older it was pretty much a seamless transition into music" - Trigg
